When and why is defrost important?
Frost builds up on the evaporator quickly when the outside air is warm and humid and when the door is opened often. If this is not removed the airflow is restricted and the performance of the fridge is reduced dramatically. If the product is 'wet', even more frost will build up. Fast efficient defrost is vital to overcome this, so that the fridge can get on and cool again.
